Sweet Jesus, I love mash-ups

Seriously, is there anything better than someone taking two tracks from two different musical genres and just –smushing- them together like an overethusiastic shipper at Comic Con?

Here’s a couple of my favourite mash-ups for your pleasure, sorted into two lists of stupid and just plain incredible. Feel free to share any of your own in the comments!

The awesome:

Like – the fucking classic track that outlines why anyone should listen to mash-ups. This song is legendary, and one of the greatest things that humanity has ever accomplished.

Just plain great. And the best part? This appears to have been mashed up by Christopher Bowes – who wrote the Alestorm song. Can’t get much better than that.

Justin Bieber has never sounded so good. But serious talk – what the hell was Ludacris doing in the original Bieber song?

The stupid:

“Look upon my works, ye Mighty, and despair!”

All mash ups have that beautiful blend that makes them work. But when that beat kicks in… that’s sublime. DMZ never had it better.

Before there was “We Are Number One”, there was “Cooking by the Book (WHAT)”.

Don’t forget to drop me some suggestions below! ^_^
